Exciting news.

That's great news getting your work featured - I love the illustration.... especially the little pigeons dotted around everywhere. It reminds me of the stuffed pigeon we made at the V&A as part of Selvedge magazine - that was a fun day out. http://charliedavisstyling.blogspot.com/2010/09/feed-birds.html

Heaven on earth.

We have just spent the last few days in Mirissa and have had the most delicious food you could imagine! I am going to cook it for you and George next time we have our little dinner parties!
A lovely lady called Gayani runs this Rotti shop - she was so lovely - we met her husband and daughter and spent a lot of time with them. I fell in love with her chocolate and banana rotti so one day she gave me a lesson on how to make one! To return the favour we arrived the next evening with a bag full of ingredients and taught her how to make banoffie pie! She is now going to add 'banoffie rotti' to her menu.

Here is the recipe:

1kg wheat flour
1 egg
1.5 table spoon salt
1 table spoon sugar

1. Mix all the above ingredience together and then add a little water to bind together.
2. Make into a ball, cover with oil (coconut oil or vegetable oil) then wrap in cling film and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
3. Split off into small balls (tangerine size), cover in oil and leave at room temperature for 45min.
4. Take one ball, cover your hands in oil and then flatter dough with your hands - spread out so that it is very thin.
5. Place in pan on a low heat
6. Break chunks of chocolate onto rotti.
7. Slice banana and place in middle of rotti.
8. Drizzle honey over rotti.
9. Fold up sides.
10. Serve and drizzle condensed milk over the top.

Yummy! x

Special thanks to Gayani and her Rotti shop.

You asked about my London scene that was a YTMT blog extract the other week so I have posted the final and guess what it was featured on Computer Arts magazines inspiration board, which was a rather tip top way to start the week :)

Your Time - My Time, Bacon Sarnie

Hey Love! Wowza 240 steps, bet your backside felt like a rock after that trek! Well whilst you were exerting yourself I was tucking into a rather lovely bacon sarnie, Nom! Sorry I've been late again on posting been up in London for meetings (Jeez how did you do that every day!).

Your time - My time. A long way to go

Sorry for the delay there was a massive storm yesterday and the internet was down. Now we have moved our time a little later so that you can have a well deserved lie in on your Sundays... so this pic was taken at 4pm on Sunday just as I was climbing the 240 steps to another beautiful temple to watch the sunset. Although as soon as we reached the top it started to pour with rain so we made a quick decent back to our room!

Your Time - My Time

My post is so boring, I woke up and went outside and looked up, wow blue sky! Hence the photo from outside my front door. We spent the rest of the day enjoying the sun but wrapped up in a scalf, Autumn is certainly approaching...YOU lucky bugger!

Your bus looks ace, I love the decor and Garf looking moody, ha!

Jeez I wish I had been there your story had me laughing out load, your not usually one to get embarrassed so that must of been a moment.

Your time - My time - Another bus journey

haha.. you drunk little lady! Glad you had a good eve.. hope the wedding planning is going well!

Well I was on a bus again! We were doing a 12 hour journey and it was boiling hot as you can see from the temperature gauge in the pic.

I also had quite a horrific experience when we stopped for a toilet break! You can just picture it.... I walked into the ladies toilet to be confronted by a tiled floor and a long trough running along the edge of the wall. So basically all exposed! A lady walked in and as they are all so friendly she said hello and then proceeded to lift her sari and pee. I on the other hand was wearing a pair of shorts so had to pull them down and exposed my white bottom to all! Then whilst I was trying to get over my stage fright another 4 ladies walked in and all insisted on trying to have a conversation with me!

Location: Sri Lanka, bus from Colombo.

Your Time-My Time The hangover

Oh dear god, careful of those buses!

So I went to see Kelly, the Bride to be on the weekend and after a rather large amount of Prosecco and Whiskey I peeled my face off the pillow to take a picture and then fell back to sleep. I have to admit that this may not of been bang on 9.30am, since I went to bed about 4am I think the fact I managed to even take it should be applauded! ha

Location: Kent, YAY not Brighton!

Time: Sunday 9th, approx 9.30, OK a lie more like 11am sorry.

Your time - My time. Bumpy ride.

I had literally just jumped of the bus as my watch started beeping at 2pm for me to take my weekly photo. Just arrived in Kumaly after a 7 hour bumpy bus journey and several near death experiences - you would not believe how people drive out here - it is a game of chicken at every corner! Buses are overtaking buses on the windy roads up the mountains with a sheer drop to the side!

Have you tried out the choir with Helen and Kate yet? - you can always just mime. hehe.

Thank you very much for my card and balloons and also the fantastic picture you have done below! You must have used a very thin pen to be able to put lipstick on my lips! hehe.
Garf took me out for tea and cake on my birthday which was really nice - proper chocolate cake! yummy!

Your drawings look great - is that the Brighton building project you were working on? Make sure you are not working yourself into the ground, little one! x

Your Time My Time - 48 hours of an Indian Summer

Sorry this is SO late, I have been crazy busy! I've literally turned into you running round like a headless chicken! ha. Sunday I was working again (boo), we had a heat wave here and it was boiling (though freezing to what your experiencing I'd imagine) so I tried to grab a little sun by working in the garden. Lots to tell you.
Hope your feeling better! Delhi belly? I knew something was wrong as I hadn't heard from you, hope your on the road again and all OK? x Take care of yourself. Miss you.
